Heart of a Worm

This piece was born of an artist block. I was stuck. I set aside time to create but was drawing a complete blank. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to draw or paint. My lack of focus emerged and I found myself reading essays on existentialism. “Nothingness lies coiled at the heart of being - like a worm,” Jean Paul Sartre in his  1943 work “Being and Nothingness”. You can find inspiration anywhere, even in nothing.
